The entire contest was a real nail biter: O'Connell was in 8th heading into the final portion of the race due to a near collision that had pushed the driver off course. With the odds stacked against them, Team Cadillac redeemed themselves during the second race, shooting quickly up the ranks, eventually screeching by the leader in the final lap.
After a 3 year drought from winning, CTS-V's team of Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O'Connell celebrated heartily after the win.
Autoblog reminds us: "Cadillac Racing hasn't had the same level of success yet that seemed to come so much easier with the previous generation CTS-V sedan," says Autoblog, "Now that the team has tasted success again, it probably won't be as long between victories."
